Get to Know Joe.

Technology was always held in high regard in my home growing up, little did I know that I would one day become an expert in the field. My curiosity of computers systems and frequent encounters like how in grade school where I was designated to provide pc support for my homeroom 5th grade class that ran on DOS. Later, in High School I became the pc repair tech for the school principal and was always the go to person whenever family and friends needed tech assistance. Nevertheless, to this day my passion comes from helping someone or entity solve a problem in a professional, thoughtful, and thorough way.

Currently, along with an A.S. degree in Business Information Systems; I hold certificates with various Infrastructure administration and managerial authorities that has tremendously improved my skill set as well as professional and technical acumen.

Professional certifications:
AWS Solutions Architect Associate

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C01)

Microsoft Certification ID: 989586955
Certified SCRUM Master (CSM)
Certificate ID: 001541009

On a corporate level I have both directed and administrated Cloud migrations, ticketing system implementations, disaster recovery exercises, Server upgrades, Application environment architecting, operational tech connectivity, Desktop imaging development and deployments, Data Center remodeling and upgrades, Managing remote projects for infrastructure equipment installations, Inventory and Asset Management, Cybersecurity Threat Analysist, Change management. During the year of 2020 in white glove fashion I led a team of application admins, network admins, and contributed as systems admin to work with healthcare systems vendors Apollo and Perkin Elmer to research, document, plan, and execute the OS upgrade in place of antiquated COVID-19 servers then lift and shift two 3-tier environments (App, Dev, Web servers) consisting of PII/PHI and supported the migration over 600 end users. For both environments these servers had dependencies on customized ports for lab instruments and various internal systems as well as external facing websites. Due to the traffic load bearing from the Covid pandemic this side by side hurry up project was detrimental.
In my 16 years of experience, I have disciplined myself to not approach challenges with panic and uncertainty but rather with resolve, focus and sometimes critical thinking. If working in a team environment and or in a management capacity I don’t hesitate to collaborate and engage the expertise of others.
• Treat Others As I Want To Be Treated. • Be Solution Oriented. • Maintain A Positive Mental Attitude. • Work Ethically no matter what. • Empower others. • Serve with Humility.
I document as I work, I communicate clearly and concisely in meetings and emails, I triple check my work before submitting, I have a passion for problem solving, I evaluate the outcomes of scenarios quickly, and I think in terms of risk and compliance. Overall, my management style would be identified as a servant leader who uplifts, empowers, and serves those who report and or work alongside me.
I occasionally view what leading tech companies are investing in OR by way of tech news, podcasts, and job openings.
Mainly, I use the same formula no matter the client, company, or title. My employers have always granted me with a lot of responsibility and decision making ability for projects ranging from user security to data center rebuilds to system architecture, and by taking a risk intuitive approach I have delivered 100% success in every project!
